Travel diary : Barcelona

This was my second visit to this beautiful city and I hope to visit many times more. Let's just say that I wouldn't mind living there at all! Barcelona just seems to have everything you can wish for in a city. Climate is mild and almost perfect, it's on the Mediterranean sea, gorgeous architecture, arts and culture, bohemian lifestyle seems to be the norm, and of course, the warm and welcoming people. The only downside would be the constant droves of tourists, especially during Summer. But I could live with that. Oh and did I mention amazing food and great wine! What more can you ask for?

When you go somewhere for the first time you inevitably end up doing standard touristy itinerary. But for my second visit I just immersed myself in the city as a local would. Walked the busy streets, relaxed on the beach and had late dinners. I couldn't resist re-visiting Gaudy and Miro's museum though. Miro is one of my favorite painters and the collection they have in Barcelona is magnificent. But other than that I didn't feel any pressure and rush to visit "the must-see" sights. I gave up on that after I ruined my visit to Florence by running between galleries, museums and cathedrals. By the end of it I was so over-saturated by everything I saw that I couldn't remember half of it and enjoyed even less. Not to mention how tired I was after my vacation. So I will skip the list of places to visit and let the images speak for themselves.
